A Fabulous Sum of £1,200 has been donated to local good causes – Total now stands at over £6,500 !!

During November 2024 the Spoofers have contributed a further £1,200 to provide support to local funds and charitable causes, making the total of all donations from the group to a whopping £6,569
More donations are planned for 2025 with causes already identified and other deserving beneficiaries being sought after.

Various amounts were agreed to be made to :
Harry Richbell and Family (2nd Donation)
Penkridge & District First Responders (3rd Donation)
Royal British Legion (Penkridge Branch) – Donation and Remembrance day Wreath
Midlands Air Ambulance (2nd Donation)

Harry Richbell is a Penkridge resident who suffers with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and our donation will be used by the family to provide equipment to assist brave Harry in everyday tasks.

Penkridge & District Community First Responders are a Charitable Trust providing equipment and volunteers to respond to urgent cases on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service. They also work to install Defibrillators in the local communities and provide support and training in their use.
Our donation to the group contributes to ensure operational costs continue to be met and equipment is provided for the Volunteer Responders to be kitted out safely.

The group also made a donation to The Royal British Legion (Penkridge) via Mary, the Landlady of the Cross Keys. This supported a fund raising day for the charity during November and the donation was added to the collection made on the day.
Mary always provides excellent hospitality for our various meetings and games of Spoof with the inaugural Annual Championships being held there in 2014 and then every year from 2017 to 2024.
This donation was in addition to the annual purchase and donation for a Remembrance Wreath which the group proudly places during the memorial parade through Penkridge on Remembrance Sunday every year.

The donation to Midlands Air Ambulance helps them to operate from a local airbase at Cosford along with 2 other locations. The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) operates and funds three air ambulances covering six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
The charity responds to some of the most traumatic incidents including cardiac arrests, road traffic collisions and sports injuries. The aircraft reaches remote locations to attend to patients unreachable by land ambulance.
